Assembly Notes:

Gwen M., the OIAA Chair, will be running the Assembly meeting. Our Trustee at Large, Madeline P., is our Parliamentarian. She will be responsible for addressing any questions or matters that arise regarding the order of conducting business during the meeting. Please be respectful of everyone present and remember that our 1st Tradition tells us that unity is our most precious quality. We need to always put our personal desires and ambitions aside whenever these could threaten the group. Love and tolerance of others is our code.

OIAA Assembly Procedures explain more about how the Assembly works and the procedures we follow during the meeting, There is also a brief tutorial on the basics of Robert’s Rules of Order there to help everyone understand how to introduce motions and work through agenda items during the Assembly:

Quorum: According to section 2.11 of the OIAA Bylaws, a quorum of 25% of the voting members is required in order to conduct OIAA business at our business meetings and assemblies.

Section 2.11. Quorum; Vote Required; Remote Participation Measures.
“In any matter requiring a vote, a quorum exists if 25% of the number of the Voting Members, determined by the most recent poll, is present at the meeting to vote.”

Voting: Voting is restricted to Intergroup Representatives (IGRs), OIAA Standing Committee Chairs, and OIAA Officers. We use google forms for voting, capturing and storing results. Links to vote on each agenda item and motions will be posted in the chat.
