OIAA Board news
Dear Membership-
Our International Trustee, Beth A., has recently stepped down from the Board. During her time in service, Beth implemented processes and services for interpretation and language translation, assisted the Unity Committee in its growth and mission, and provided tireless leadership in executing the vision of OIAA’s International Online Convention. Beth’s contributions have been instrumental in opening the doors of OIAA to groups around the world and we are grateful for her time and dedication.
At this time, we are also grateful to share that Sharon G., OIAA Alternate CPC Committee Chair, has stepped forward to serve on the Board of Trustees as Vice Chairperson, effective immediately. Sharon brings extensive service experience in Alcoholics Anonymous – with the General Service structure, with her local Intergroup, and with OIAA. She joined OIAA’s CPC Committee in Spring of 2024, and her sobriety date is March 20, 1986. We are very excited to welcome Sharon G. to the OIAA Board of Trustees.
With four Trustee positions currently open, we are now seeking candidates to serve as Secretary, Treasurer, International Trustee and Trustee-at-Large. Service responsibilities for Board members are defined in the OIAA Bylaws – Article 4 Officers.
As a reminder, all mid-term appointments rotate out at the end of the calendar year. We encourage members to consider standing for election at the December Assembly.
Eligibility & Qualifications for all OIAA Trustees can be found in the OIAA Guidelines – Section 5.1.1 with further position descriptions found in Section 5.2 Officers.
Eligible candidates should currently be in service with OIAA. Please email us at OIAA.Board@aa-intergroup.org for any questions or more information.
Thank you for your continued trust and support as we progress in this transition together.
