This month, we had many positive comments as usual. These often are great reminders of what it was like before we got sober as well as how much is at risk. Thanks to all the Steppers who sent them in and please, anytime you get a good comment from a caller, please call them out to us (and note, if you will, that they’re “Good Comments” so they don’t get lost in the shuffle):
– Thank you very much for the information, I had 10 years with the program, I decided I could drink again and now I know I just can’t. I have my original book and will find online meeting on Saturday thanks again.
Thank you so much for your prompt and kind response. The very fact that I am able to connect with someone who does not judge me but is willing to help is a wonderful feeling. Thanks for that. I have got mails from two more generous members like you and I am grateful for that. I will go through the resources. I have already attended one meeting and the feeling of hearing from people like me was amazing. Thanks once again. I will be sure to follow the programme and will reach out to you for help. God bless
– Thanks for your mail.Started reading the big book this morning..Ive had so much support already. Its amazing.I want to get better, for myself, my family, my job, my God! If you can please pray for me about all of this, but mostly my job…. Im in a spot where I might loose it and really dont want to.Ill do my first meeting today. And also found out about going to rehab….I want to be better than this disease….Again…. thanks for your mail!
– Hi Jeff thank you so much for all the information. I definitely want to get back into the meetings, also, I need to complete the driver’s safety program to get my license back. Are there online IOP meetings any information would be greatly appreciated.
– I want to thank you for your quick replies and information. I did just that I called Brown county. Wisconsin does not accept online IOP classes for this driver safety program. Somehow I will find a way to get back to AA meetings because I too am an alcoholic. I just went through our life threatening experience and was in a coma for 14 days and the doctors didn’t think I was going to wake up. I’m going to get back to the meetings I used to go to because I want to share my story with everybody because I feel God kept me alive for that reason and hopefully my story can help somebody. Thanks again
– Hi Mary, many thanks for your kind and complete email. I will look for one online meeting group that you recommended, thanks again,
-Muchas gracias por su ayuda e informacion yo entrare a el enlase para la reunion online. Gracias.
-HI Mary, You were the first to reply to me – your support and information are invaluable. Thank You so much! Looking forward to the journey.
– I’ve been so overwhelmed with all the email responses, in the best way possible. I felt at my lowest when I reached out but reading these experiences and feeling zero judgement has lightened the load in a way I never thought possible and I havent even started any meetings yet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. What you’re doing is amazing. Taking the first step feels good and when I inevitably start to feel the struggle kick in, I will read your words.
– Many thanks for your selflessness,Out pouring your heart to a stranger is never easy and I do not take it lightly. The reason I’m here is because I am tired of hurting my soon to be former wife, and kids. When drunk I would emotionally abuse my wife and kids to the point of threatening to kill my wife. This has escalated to the point of signing a protection order which just happened in the past three days.Everytime I read through the Protection order ,where it says I’m bared from contacting my son until 27/06/25 tears just fill my eyes.I look at how I’ve lost countless opportunities thanks to alcohol abuse.I am In Employed, kicked out of my house, back at my parents having to answer countless questions regarding my life, which kills me.I am desperate to put an end to itl all ,it begins here and now.
-Thank you your info was very helpful. Today I am celebrating my 51 anniversary and have been unable to attend live meetings since moving to a new state. During COVID I loved going all over the country with zoom but was have difficulty getting passcode this time.I searched another site they said your phone number must be under your name which made me suspicious Thank you for your help stay well
-Thank you for your encouraging words and the helpful information. God Bless you
