Welcome, Introductions & Agenda review:

Attendees:  Gwen M, CPC Committee Chair, Sharon G, CPC Alternate Chair, Susan R, OIAA Chair, Jeff B, OIAA Secretary and Guests Amy B, a nurse anesthetist from Walnut Creek, CA and Jim B, Corrections service Allegheny County Jail, Pennsylvania.

New Business:

• Corrections Discussion: Welcomed OIAA guest Jim B who has been taking A.A. meetings into the Allegheny County Jail for 18 years.  Jim heard about OIAA in an email he received from his contact at the county jail who is the volunteer coordinator.  The facility is now exploring connecting to online A.A. meetings using tablets.  Jim asks if there is a subset of online meetings tailored for use in a corrections facility.  While our individual experience with corrections at this point is rather limited OIAA’s CPC committee is committed to learning all we can so answers are available when corrections questions come our way.

Old Business:

• PI CPC Working Group – Nursing Outreach – (Jeff B)
  • Jeff attended the May 11th planning meeting for the nurses outreach
  • 60 people from around from the US and Canada were there including district PI chairs, area PI chairs and CPC chairs as well.
  • Susan cautions us not to align ourselves too closely with events being run by others. While it appears to be a wonderful event this is not an OIAA event. It is ok to list the event on the event page but it is not an OIAA sponsored event.

• PI CPC Working Group – In the spirit of cooperation not affiliation, the PI CPC working group is a resource for A.A. members involved in this area of service from anywhere on the globe.
