Group Report for The Shoulder to Shoulder Online Workshop - Apr 2025
We have been an open Zoom workshop since September 2021, meeting on Tuesdays and Wednesdays weekly. Our Tuesday Workshop meets at 5 – 6:15 PM PT and was created to deepen our experience with the simple solution to alcoholism laid out in the Big Book and the 12 & 12. One person reads, pausing after each paragraph for comments or questions. We read through the Big Book until we finish a Step, then read the essay on the same Step in the 12 & 12 in the same way. We are currently on Step 9 in the 12 & 12, p.83.
Our Wednesday Traditions and History Workshop meets at 5:45 – 7PM PT and was created to discover and deepen our understanding of the circumstances experienced by our early members, as purposefully recorded by one of our founders. The historical exploration utilizes AA conference approved literature such as: The Language of the Heart, Our Great Responsibility, Alcoholics Anonymous Comes of Age, and we will soon begin The AA Service Manual combined with the Twelve Concepts, along with our regular Traditions study.
As in our Tuesday meetings, one person reads, pausing after each paragraph for comments or questions. We are currently in Segment 1 ” The Shaping of the Traditions” in The Language of the Heart, p. 45.
Our attendance averages between 17-35.
